Duncan has been in the retail sector for most of his career having spent 10 years at Woolworths and 13 years at Pick n Pay. He holds multiple InfoSec related certifications including CISSP, CCSP and CCISO. 

He is passionate about Information and Cyber-Security and ensuring that security and controls never inhibit or slow down business or innovation. 

He also speaks to parents at schools and churches around the topic of Social Networking and devices and how parents can better educate themselves to protect their children from the dangers that lurk in this connected world, while still embracing the wonders of technology and all it has to offer. 

Ileen brings 16 years of experience in the IT field, with the last 9 years focused on information security, privacy and governance. Her career is distinguished by trusted advisory roles, including her tenure as a Snr. Consultant at Risk X Data Assurance, where she specialized in Privacy (POPIA & EU GDPR) and Security (ISO 27001 & PCI DSS). As a consultant, Ileen gained exposure to various industry sectors, including IT, Retail, Financial Services, and FinTech, further broadening her expertise.

She holds multiple certifications including ISO 27001LI, CISA, PCI-DSS QSA (retired), CIGO and is currently pursuing her CCISO. Alongside a PhD in Information Systems, Ileen is dedicated to integrating sound security and privacy practices into business processes without hindering innovation.

She also contributes to the academic community by reviewing cybersecurity papers for accredited journals and sharing her expertise through published works, continually driving the evolution of this important field.

IT Governance Officer

Rachell has been in the retail sector for 17 years having spent the duration at Pepkor IT. 3 years as the IT Governance Officer. 

She is an enthusiastic, ambitious leader that is energised by interpersonal engagements with colleagues and clients. Coaching and knowledge sharing forms part of her arsenal.

 She has a growth mindset and it invigorates her to improve and implement simplistic processes while ensuring they add value. Setting clear goals enables her to solve problems and resolve them in a logical manner to completion. Project Sentinel was successfully implemented in Pepkor IT focusing on internal security improvements. Her main focus is creating and fostering a strong and collaborative security culture that aligns with the group strategy.
